Heat Sheets + Final Meet Instructions
Good Morning Swim Families,
Attached is the Heat Sheet. We worked on combining events. This means the events will swim at the same time, but be scored separately. The goal is to help the meet move faster. What that means for you as parents: Know that the events will move faster, so be prepared to help get the kids to the blocks.
8&U - Getting to the Blocks
There will be parents helping “wrangle” the 8&Us. Your responsibility is to help get them to the “wrangle spot” approx 4-5 events prior to your child's event. (This is usually when the 11/12 are going off; however due to combined events, it may be during the 9/10.)
We ask you to get them to the spot, and then be go meet your child on the far end of the pool, across from the blocks. The wranglers will get them to the blocks and off the blocks. It's great for us to be able to point at the support person at the far and of the pool as motivation. Also, because it's cold, I recommend bring their towel.
Lastly the timers will need to be right by the lane, so make sure they have their space.
There is an attached picture of the wrangle spot.
9&U Girls
There will also be a wrangler, spot will either be behind the blocks or near the 8&U wrangle spot.
