A finals Information
Hello Croc Parents!
We are so excited your children are coming to A Final. This is a really neat meet and give you a taste of winter style meets.
Practice - We will have a practice tomorrow, normal times and for the A finals athletes only on Monday 7/7.
10&u 8:30-9:30
11&u 9:30-10:30
The meet is at Mason Aquatics Center. - 6249 Mason Montgomery Rd, Mason, OH 45040
In general, first day is prelims. The top 16 for individual, and the top 8 for relays come back the next day, with the exception of the 8&u relays. Last year one was a timed final (meaning whatever place you get on the first day is it) and one was a prelim/final format. I will get confirmation on that. It's important that you can make both days even if it is only your relay that comes back. We cannot swap athletes.
We have the following Jobs:
Deck Parents (2) for Session 1 & 3, and (1) for Session 2
Timers (2) per session
Block Manager (1 or 2) per session
The job is to help make sure the right kid is going off, that it doesn't get to loud or crazy. Get with me for more questions
Maybe 1 more official
General Things about the Meet
Only athletes, coaches and volunteers during their shift are allowed on deck. There is a volunteer position(s) to be the deck parent to help wrangle all kids and watch them.
It's a long meet, so be sure to bring your uno cards, coloring books, something to read, etc.
It can be loud, so if you are sensitive you might want to bring headphones to zone out.
Bring snacks! It's a long meet, and the snack shack line gets big.
There is an “athlete only” bathroom. Please be considerate of that.
No chairs are allowed on deck, so bring a blanket/large towel for your kid to sit on
We are SO excited for your kids to have a great meet.
