Croc Season is right around the Corner!

Hi Swim + Dive Families!

The countdown is officially on β€” swim season is almost here, and we could not be more excited! We are looking forward to another fun summer filled with racing, team spirit, friendships, and lots of pool time.

Here are a few important updates as we get ready for the season:

🏊 First Practice:

Wednesday, May 27

8:30 - 9:20         8 & u
9:20 - 10:10       9-10
10:00 - 11:00     11 & up


The first two weeks we will have normal practice on Friday since we won't have ribbons.

πŸ“… Important Upcoming Dates:

Parent Meeting: May 27th in the evening on Teams/Zoom. Exact timing will be sent next week.

First Meet: Thursday, June 11

Championships: Week of July 13th

πŸ‘• Team Suits & Spirit Wear:

Swimmers will be responsible for their own suits. A link can be found below. The team will provide caps for meets. it's a good idea to have a cap for practice. There are some recommended caps in the link below, but you can order just as easily from Amazon or Swimmville near Kenwood skyline.

Meet the Coaches

SWIM

Stephen Langdon

Stephen Langdon has been coaching swimming for 20 years in Tennessee and Ohio, working with thousands of athletes across summer league, high school, and USA Swimming club teams. He has coached numerous record-breaking swimmers, including National Age Group record holders, high school All-Americans, and even an Olympian.

Stephen began his coaching career in Tennessee, where he worked with Tennessee Aquatics in Knoxville. He later joined the Cincinnati Marlins as the Princeton Head Site Coach & Director of Development, helping swimmers achieve national top-ten times and breaking multiple records. For the past decade, he has been an assistant coach at Sycamore High School, guiding over 40 state qualifiers, multiple state champions, and contributing to a national high school record.

In addition to his coaching career, Stephen is a science teacher at Sycamore High School. He holds an ASCA Level 4 coaching certification and a strong background in athlete development. He lives in Pleasant Ridge with his wife, Carly, and their two children, Pearl and Crew.

Pat Lorcharoensey

Pat Lorcharoensery has been swimming competitively for over a decade, recently becoming a  national qualifier and state team member. Swimming for Sycamore High School and Blue Ash YMCA, Pat’s favorite event is the 100 breaststroke. Off the pool deck, Pat enjoys spending time with his dog.

Kate Wallbrown

Kate Wallbrown will enter her senior year at Indian Hill High School this fall. She began swimming at Kenwood at age six and joined BASH at eight, later transitioning to the Marlins before her sophomore year. She is a state qualifier for Indian Hill and specializes in sprint freestyle. Outside of the pool, Kate enjoys spending time with friends and traveling.

Kamyrn

Kamryn swam competitively for over a decade, swimming for the Marlins and Sycamore High School, now playing college lacrosse. This is her second year with the Kenwood Crocodiles. Kamryns favorite meet theme is neon. Outside of swimming she loves sewing and fun crafts!

DIVE

Gabby Lagunas

Gabby grew up diving with Turpin Hills Swim Club and Turpin High School. Diving has always held a special place in her life, and so has working with kids. She is incredibly excited to begin this new adventure coaching with the Kenwood Crocs!

Scout Richards

Scout is returning for her third season to help coach the Crocs. She is a third year student at The Ohio State University where she is studying Communication. She started swimming at KSTC as a Croc in 2013 and diving in 2015. She continued to dive through high school for Dive Cincinnati, Ohio Kentucky Diving. She represented her high school in the OHSAA State Meet where she placed 17th overall.  Scout's heart has always been with the Crocs! She can't wait to start to start another great season!
